"CHIGURU" – Nurturing Early Growth
"Chiguru", meaning "new sprout", is the Early Intervention Program of Voice of Needy Foundation designed to support children from birth to 15 years who experience developmental delays or disabilities. The program focuses on early identification, timely therapy, and family-centered support, ensuring that every child receives the care needed during the most critical years of brain and physical development.
Research shows that early intervention significantly improves a child’s ability to learn new skills, reach developmental milestones, and succeed in school and life when support begins at an early age.
Through community outreach and structured therapeutic support, Chiguru empowers children and families to build stronger foundations for lifelong growth and independence.

What We Do
🔍 Community Screening & Developmental Assessments
Our outreach teams conduct screening camps and developmental assessments in Gram Panchayats and rural communities to identify children who may be experiencing developmental delays. Early identification allows timely support and prevents long-term challenges.
🏥 Center-Based & Home-Based Therapy
Each child receives a personalized therapy plan designed by trained professionals. The program provides:
- Center-based therapy sessions
- Home-based therapy guidance for families
- Continuous monitoring of the child’s progress
These interventions help children develop essential skills such as communication, mobility, learning ability, and social interaction.
👨👩👧 Parent Training & Family Counselling
Families are the most important partners in a child’s development. Through training sessions and counselling, we equip parents with practical techniques to support their child’s therapy at home and in daily routines.
🤝 Linkages to Specialized Therapies & Assistive Devices
When required, the program connects children with specialized services and assistive aids, including:
- Speech therapy
- Physiotherapy
- Occupational therapy
- Assistive devices and rehabilitation services
These linkages ensure that children receive comprehensive and continuous care beyond the immediate program.
